A NEW complete uniform kit that should last several years is required for all travel players. $120-$130
Kits include 2 Jerseys, shorts, & socks. CLICK HERE for more info.
Tryouts are free! – Players MUST sign up to try out. The Travel fee is only due upon assignment to a team. Payment plans are available.
A $20 late fee will be added to players who don’t register within the registration timeframe after a team assignment.

 

NRSC Recreation Soccer Notes

  • Rec and Bears Academy have a Fall kickoff is mid-Aug.
    • Spring doesn’t have a kick-off.
  • Fall Practices start min-Aug.
    • Spring Practices start at the end of March.
  • Fall Game schedule goes from late Aug to the end of Oct.
    • Spring Game Schedule goes from early April to the end of May.
  • Players age 6 through 14 play in age-appropriate in-house leagues.
    • These teams play competitive games on Saturday with one practice per week.
  • Players who want to play up an older age group might be able to do so if they are within 1 year of the deadline for that age group.
    • The NRSC Board will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
    • Please contact our Registrar David Cehlar to request a move.
      In some cases, an additional fee may apply.
  • Players do not have to live in NR to register and play in our Rec programs.
  • Players that play for a Club team will not be permitted to play in the NRSC Rec program. Travel players may register but team assignment is at the discretion of the NRSC Board. We will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.

Travel League Notes

  • The NRSC Travel Program offers competitive-level soccer training and games in the OHTSL (Ohio Travel Soccer League) against other Greater Cleveland area travel programs.
  • Half of our 8-game Fall and Spring Schedules are played at Heasley (our home field).
  • Tournaments can add 3-4 more games per fall/spring season.
  • Practices are twice a week starting in August.
  • Travel teams are based on the birth year. Example – 2011 birth year = Under 13 age group (U13).
  • The Season starts at the end of Aug.
  • Players who want to play up an older age group might be able to do so if they are within 1 year of the deadline for that age group.
    • The NRSC Board will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
    • Please contact our Travel Director Lori Pickering to request a move.
  • Player candidates MUST reside within the NRSD or attend a school within the NRSD boundary line.
